Petra has been a member of NACM for several years During that time we have benefited from the association directly through the assistance offered by the NACM staff during periods when the Petra Credit Manager position was vacant as well as during my initial year As a new Credit Manager with Petra, I relied heavily on Mike Brittain and his staff. One of the first experiences was with the Financial Statement Analysis class, whic provided a refresher course on the basics of breaking down financial information in order to make a more enlightened decision. Additionally, NACM assisted with Petra in gaining access to both Equifax and OneCreditSource, invaluable sources of credit information that we utilize daily. In summary, Mike and his staff have responded to every request and call for assistance with excellent and valuable service.

NACM's website is very user friendly and has a variety of useful tools that I use on a regular basis. The features I use the most are the pulling of NACM reports and polling my group members. It allows me to stay up to date with my customers and potential customers on my schedule.

In the last two and half years that I have been the credit manager for Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. Oklahoma City, I have benefited a great deal from my membership with NACM. The online services are a great tool for notifying other related industries of a mutual customers status (customer sent to collections, credit suspended, etc.) The monthly meetings are very informative as well, a lot of factual information is shared at the meetings and although you may not have all the customers or even sell to them often at one point you may find the information you gain from the meetings to be quite useful in determining how you approach your credit decision.
- Sherril Jones, Ferguson Enterprises Incorporated

If I tried to do my job WITHOUT information provided by NACM MidAmerica , I would only be 50% effective. Having been in credit for approximately 38 years , I have learned that over and above "number crunching", KNOWING YOUR CUSTOMER is the next best parcel of information to have. Hence, my relationship with NACM has not only been invaluable as it relates to knowing my customer and my career, it has provided friendships with countless credit managers in various industries that will be valued friends even after my credit career ends.
You are cutting yourself short and missing GREAT information, and friendships if you are NOT and ACTIVE PARTICIPATING member with NACM-MidAmerica.
- Bob Vick, Vice President, Coppermark Bank

Red Rock Distributing Company has been an active NACM member for the past 5 years. We utilize their services such as monthly credit meeting's to network with other credit peers to determine current trends in our industry. We are also frequent user's to the NACM website, it provides us with up to date information regarding meetings, forms and general credit reporting. The website is easy to read and information in only a point and click away. But what keeps us coming back is the personal attention that we receive from Mike Brittain and the staff of NACM. Credit issues are never planned and the answer is not always in a book, when you need some advice or just someone to point you in the right direction they are always there to help.

Being a member of many credit organizations during my career, I was a little hesitant when a friend suggested I needed to become part of NACM. How would I have time to work all of them into my schedule? I attended just one meeting and became hooked! Through the years, I dropped out of all but two credit groups and NACM is definitely the most valuable, to me as an individual and to me as an employee in the construction industry.

You get your first "heads up" from this credit organization, which puts you ahead of other creditors in the collection process. Perhaps one of your customers i reported at the meeting as becoming show-pay with other members, so even though you get paid regularly, you are more alert to theirsituationn and perhaps tighten down a little more. By being alerted to apotentiall payment change, you can stay in contact with them even more (become the squeaky wheel), thus saving your companymoneyy.

NACM MidAmerica is very in tune with educational topics needed for its members, and continuously offersopportunitiess to up-grade knowledge, thus increasing the power of effectiveness.

One of the best parts of membership is the ability to "open doors" through your affiliation. Coast to coast, NACM members are more likely to share information with other NACM members. The ones I have talked to are professionals and it is so nice to talk to them. Within our local group, I have received invaluable, specific help from almost all of the members. Can you say that about any other credit organization to which you belong?
- Kaye Dunlap, Meeks Building Center

I have been associated with NACM MidAmerica since 1999. As a corporate credit manager, I have found NACM's services to be a very valuable component of my department's success. We have taken advantage of NACM credit training seminars (some provided at our location for our employees) which have enhanced my team's productivity and effectiveness. I have used NACM's collection & legal services to assist with our collection efforts with our delinquent accounts. I can count on NACM to represent my company in a professional manner when interfacing with our customers. The industrial trade groups have proven to be an effective means of keeping current with customer payment trends and credit issues within our particular industry. I can also obtain credit reports easily via NACM's website. Mike Brittain and his team have always been available and willing to assist and give sound advice when credit issues arise. I consider Mike Brittain and NACM MidAmerica to be at true partner in our success.
- Ron Stuebell, Ruhrpumpen, Inc.

NACM has helped my company in many ways. We have used many of it's services, collections, education, and group meetings in the construction industries. All the services we have used have been of the highest professional standards, informative, and current. NACM has given me the opportunity to serve my industry on a personal level also.
- Sam Paschal, John Paschal Tile

I feel that the opportunity to "round-table" with other credit persons in the same/related industry(s) & listen to their experience with the subject companies/customers/principals is very important to the credit decisions I make for my company.
-Paul Craig, M&M Supply

The value of NACM MidAmerica is considerable. Everyone with any background in credit knows the worth of NACM's business credit groups, collection services, reports or business forms. As a member, I have used many available services and it has made my job easier, but I think what makes NACM MidAmerica most useful is that it is a true association. I am able to draw on the collective experience and knowledge of hundreds of credit professionals.

A concrete example is; My company and I benefited from being a member when the lien laws changed several years ago. NACM MidAmerica took the role of a lobbyist, expressing the desire of its membership, and helped reform Oklahoma lien laws. From my perspective, the laws regarding liens related to my industry were positively affected. But beyond being an advocate for its members, NACM provided me with a conduit to the specific experience of other members. As the use of liens became available to equipment rental companies, I was able to draw on the knowledge of professionals who are experts in all aspects of liens, from the technical legal minutiae to the art of dealing with customer reactions. This has saved my company thousands of dollars and saved me hundreds of hours learning the same thing from less accessible sources.

Any credit professional would find benefit in being a member of NACM MidAmerica. I believe it is one of the best resources available to all of us who want to do our jobs better.
- Tim Kline, Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc.

The key issue for me and the overwhelming benefit is networking,. This really is getting out and knowing others in the same general business areas and expanding it into other business. We can teach and learn from each other in how we do our day to day business in credit as well other general business areas. The networking can be for potential job opportunities for us to grow our credit departments. Generally if I have a problem others are too. For example recent credit card charge increases effected all of us and we can coach and mentor each other on how to handle these issues as they come up is important to all of us.
- Russ Grim, Heatwave Supply

My NACM Mid-America membership has been an invaluable resource for me as a Credit Professional. NACM's real-time reporting features such as group polling and on-line credit reports have not only assisted in my decision making process, but have also, in many cases, allowed my company to better manage its risk exposure.

In addition, the associations has dedicated itself to the continued professional development of its members by staying ahead of the curve on laws and trends that affect the business credit community and then passing that information on to its members through valuable education presentations.

Finally, the business relationships I have made through the association have unfailingly been with people of the highest professional and moral caliber. The staff of the association is knowledgeable, competent, and is dedicated to serving the needs of their members. It's because of these factors that my company relies on NACM when evaluating potential, as well as existing customers.

- Jon Hines, Mid Continent Concrete

I have been attending NACM industry group meetings for years and have gained information that has saved my company valuable time and money. The opportunities for education within the industry are exceptional. I urge everyone to take advantage on any and all of the services NACM has to offer.
