Timothy Kline

      Timothy D. Kline was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 16, 1949, and graduated from Putnam City High School in 1967. He attended the University of Oklahoma, receiving his B.A. in Political Science in 1971 and his J.D. in 1976. He served as law clerk to the Honorable Luther Bohanon for three years, and subsequently practiced law for three years with the firm of Linn, Helms, Kirk and Burkett. In February 1983, he commenced practicing law for three years with his father, former bankruptcy judge, David Kline, in the firm of Kline & Kline. The name of that firm is now Kline, Kline, Elliott and Bryant. Including its lawyers "of counsel," the firm presently has eleven lawyers.

     Mr. Kline is a former president of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and a former director of that organization. Currently, he is a Director of the Oklahoma County Bar Foundation. He taught bankruptcy at Oklahoma City University Law School for five semesters as an adjunct professor and is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy topics. He is listed as a bankruptcy law expert in "The Best Lawyers in America" and is listed in Who's Who in American Law. He is a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy and was selected for inclusion among Oklahoma's Super Lawyers in 2006, 20007, 2008 amd 2009. He is certified in both business bankruptcy law and consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification. He is a past chairperson, and on the board of directors, of the Bankruptcy Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.

     Mr Kline is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He specializes in federal civil litigation, commercial law and bankruptcy law. He is a former director of the Oklahoma City International Trade Association and a former chairman of the International Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
